Alarm at 5am, quickly dress up, backpack on, check if I did not forget anything and 5:15 ready to go. Even if in open beach the day was waking up, in the forrest there was still complete darkness. 10 minutes walk through the the forrest was without any incident and I managed to pass the sea without getting completely wet as low tight was there. At 6am boat to city, 6:30 transport to the airport, 9am flight to Bangkok and 2pm finally flight to Chiang Rai.
Climate change was a very nice surprise. It is still hot, but not as humid as in the south – you can feel this difference immediatetly 🙂
With Canadian Paul (he has been living in Thailand for 4 years, teaching English) I shared not only taxi from the airport to the city, but we also found very nice accomodation for a reasonable price and for the first time in my journey – with breakfast included. Our accomodation was just next to Clock Tower, which every day at 7, 8 and 9pm plays some music and get those vibrant colours.
Night food market was another interresting experience. All the city meets there in the evening and pleasant live musing is playing while you are having dinner or drink.
